How we work with your family
Family-centred
You know your child best. We work with you, not just on your child.
Play-based
Children learn best through play — so that's how we teach.
Culturally responsive
Every family's background and language journey is different, and welcome here.
Growth, not grades
We celebrate progress at your child's own pace, not against a benchmark.
Maha Cheema
Founder, Speech Pathologist
Maha founded Envision Therapy to bring accessible, family-centred speech pathology care to Ropes Crossing and the surrounding suburbs. She loves getting to know every family that walks through the door.
Maha holds a Master of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Psychology from Macquarie University — a combination that shapes the way she works with every child. Her psychology background gives her a deep understanding of child development, behaviour and learning, while her speech pathology training gives her the clinical skills to assess and treat communication difficulties. Maha has experience working with children from early intervention right through to school-aged, tailoring therapy to each stage of a child's development.
Maha is also a clinical educator and supervisor, training the next generation of speech pathologists. It's a role only given to clinicians who consistently practise at a high standard, and it keeps her own skills sharp, current and grounded in evidence-based practice — the same standard of care every family at Envision Therapy can expect.
